Building an inclusive society through partnership and empowerment
We work to promote the rights, inclusion, and equal participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society. Through partnerships with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), government institutions, and civil society, NAD supports the implementation of inclusive development programmes that are community-driven and rights-based.
Our work focuses on strengthening Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) approaches to ensure that persons with disabilities are meaningfully included in education, livelihoods, health, governance, and humanitarian action. We prioritise building the capacity of local partners, supporting advocacy efforts, and promoting evidence-based interventions that contribute to sustainable and inclusive development.
Aligned with national priorities and international frameworks such as the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), and the disability Act No. 6 of 2012, NAD works to ensure that no one is left behind, particularly at community level where change matters most.
